Tucked amidst palm trees and serene backwaters, this pocket-sized plot transcends its size to create a larger-than-life experience. The site transports one to a bygone era, where time seems to stand still. Local fishermen glide by in their wooden canoes, offering fresh catches from the sea, while the soothing summer breeze and the melodic squawking of seagulls lull visitors into tranquility.
This project presented us with multiple expectations—a holiday home for a globetrotting client and a haven for his septuagenarian parents’ retired life. With a clear brief and a compelling context, designing the concept was a seamless process. Throughout the project, we prioritized the site’s context, conducting meticulous climatic studies to minimize reliance on artificial thermal comfort. We worked with local materials and skilled craftsmen, employing traditional techniques to give shape to the client’s vision of home.
As interior designers in Kochi, we ensured that this project embraced the essence of its surroundings, blending harmoniously with the natural and cultural fabric of the area. The result is a thoughtfully crafted space that reflects the client’s aspirations while respecting the context it inhabits.
