Very rarely but as an eventual certainty, an architect comes across this project which is of most paradoxical in nature. A project which seemingly is the easiest and the most difficult one too. And when it is of an architect couple, the stakes rise before the first move itself.
Tucked in the corner of the city, architects Chandini and Rahul went about setting up their first home. Within this 1200 sqft apartment, they were desirous of creating a space that reflects their personalities. Fans of the Great Gatsby and having marvelled at the reminiscent of Art Deco style that the city of Mumbai had largely witnessed in the early 20th century, they were keen on adopting an interpretation of the Art Deco style within a contemporary palette, owing to the spatial challenges that comes alongwith an urban apartment.
Geometric patterns, bold colours, soft lighting, adorned with “Work Nocturne” inspired artwork and plants; all come together in cozy melange that defines space, personalities and love.
