Urban Bygone – Bangalore

The clients are a young enterprising couple based in Bangalore. They sought a home that is cheerful, youthful, inviting without being pretentious. The home needed to reflect the residents’ personalities.
Moreover and more importantly, the client owned a set of handcrafted wooden furniture that were carefully preserved for many a years. These furniture elements were skillfully made by hand by artisans from the bygone era. The client shared a sentimental attachment with the furniture and intended to retain them.
The brief was thus interesting – A fully equipped contemporary “smart home” donned with traditional Indian furniture that sits in beautiful harmony for a young family.
